Nkuluze was first established by Ssekabaka Daudi Chwa II when he was enthroned in 1914 at the age of 18 years. Its aim was to cater for the welfare of the Monarch (His Majesty the Kabaka), Nnabagereka and the Royal family.
It is headed by the Omuwanika (Royal Treasurer), who is appointed by His Majesty to receive and manage all the resources pertaining to the welfare of the Monarch and the Royal Family. Many people have served in this position and they include; Omuk. Eri Kamyuka Lule and Omuk. Turker Lwanyaga Ddungu as the last Royal Treasurers during Ssekabaka Edward Muteesa II’s reign.
It employs over 220 professionals in different fields based at the Head Office at Bulange Mengo, at various Palaces and Farms.
